Edward George Castleman, Sr.
December 7th, 1940 - June 14th, 2021
Edward G. Castleman, Sr., 80, of Syracuse, formerly of LaFayette and Otisco Lake, NY, as well as Fort Myers, FL; passed away at his daughter's home in Webster, Texas on June 14, 2021. He was born in Syracuse in 1940, to the late George and Elizabeth (Hines) Castleman. After graduating from Baldwinsville High School, Ed proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He then went on to work as a Lineman for Niagara Mohawk for several years. Ed was an avid SU fan and had a passion for the game of golf. Ed is predeceased by: his wife, Barbara; and brother, Michael. He is survived by: children, Edward (Heather) Jr. of LaFayette, NY, and Elizabeth (John) Deam, of Webster, Texas; granddaughters, Lisa (Michael) and Natalie (Noah); step-grandchildren, John, Amy, and Jason; nine great grandchildren; and sisters, Cathleen and Mary. An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 18, at 10 am at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, LaFayette. A memorial service will follow at 11 am, with burial at LaFayette Cemetery.
