Edward "Ed" John Ege
December 5th, 1946 - December 10th, 2023
Edward John "Ed" Ege went to be with his Heavenly Father, December 10, 2023, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Ed was born December 5, 1946, to Lyle Ege and Emmeline Pidwell Ege in Murray, Utah. Ed was the third of five sons. In 1966, after graduating from Moline Highschool, Edward moved to Boise, Idaho. It was there, in 1967, he met Sandra Adams. On June 22, 1968, just after Ed’s 21st birthday, Ed and Sandy married. They stayed in the Boise area and together raised a beautiful Family. Ed worked at Gate City Steel for many years before joining the power industry, installing power lines. Later in his life, he worked as a security guard for Idaho Power. He was also a member of the Boise County Posee Search and Rescue. Ed loved riding horses and would ride trails, finding missing hikers and children that had lost their way. In his free time, Ed enjoyed bartending at The Rocks Lodge, fishing, sailing, and spending time with his beloved family. He instilled in his daughters the value of determination and hard work. He taught them how to shoot guns, ride horses and sail with the best of them. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Emmeline; and brothers, Jack and Stanley. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sandra Adams Ege; daughters, Dawna (Scott) Hartley, Licia (Brian) Ege, and Heather (Eric) Appleby; grandchildren: Courtney (Alex), Elizabeth (Matt), Jordan, Dillon, Christoper, and Wyatt; and great grandchildren: Grayson, William, Ernest, and Edward. He also leaves behind his sweet dog, Aimii. Edward leaves behind an amazing legacy. He will be missed by those that had the privilege of knowing him.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
