Edward Heimbuck
September 4th, 1923 - August 1st, 2011
Edward Heimbuck, 87, of La Salle, CO passed away August 1, 2011 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado. Ed was born September 4, 1923 in Windsor, CO to Fred and Marie (Laubhan) Heimbuck. He served in the Merchant Marines from December 1941 to December 1946. On January 11, 1948 he married Betty Jo Bauer at St. Paul’s Congregational Church in Greeley. In 1947 Ed started farming and feeding cattle in the Auburn and La Salle area. He received the Great Western High 10 Sugar Award for Ten years. He retired from farming in 1984. He was a member of St. Paul’s Congregational Church and Beet Growers Association. Ed is survived by his wife, Betty of La Salle; brothers, Carl (Katy) Heimbuck and Walter (Dorothy) Heimbuck all of Greeley; sister in law, Anna Bauer of Kersey; and eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughters, Kathy Sue and Pamela Jo; and parents. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday August 5, 2011 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley with viewing one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "St. Paul’s Congregational Church” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
