Edward C. Moynahan
January 26th, 1933 - August 12th, 2005
"Bondsville- Edward C. Moynahan, 72, passed away at home August 12. Born January 26, 1933 in Springfield, he was the son of the late Edward and Ethyl (Donovan) Moynahan. Edward has lived in Bondsville since 1968, previously residing in Wilbraham. He was employed as a salesman for 16 years at Sate Line Potato Chip Company and retired in 1974. Ed was a life member of the American Legion in Wilbraham, AMVETS in Three Rivers and Portland, ME, and served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Perry 844 from 1950-1955. He leaves his wife Dorothea T. (Manning), a son, Michael of Monson, grandchildren Justin A. delaBruere and his wife Deborah of Brownwood, TX, Ryan delaBruere of Altamonte, FL, and Kaitlen and Paige Moynahan of Monson. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Scott and Alyssa delaBruere of Brownwood, TX, mother-in-law Florence Manning of Longmeadow, and siblings Theresa and Robert Moynahan both of Wilbraham, Richard of Spotsylvania, VA, Mary Young of E.Longmeadow, Carole Peacock of Houston, TX, as well as many brother and sister-in-laws. Ed was predeceased by his daughter Karen Ann Moynahan in 1999, brother Ralph and sister Beverly Antaya. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00-6:30 p.m. with a Remembrance service at 6:30 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Donations may be made in his memory to either the Wilbraham American Legion Post 286 Scholarship Fund, Ronald Von Flatern, 843 Main St., Wilbraham, MA 01095, or to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St., Palmer, MA 01069. "
