Edward "Ed" J. North
August 24th, 1935 - July 7th, 2010
Edward (Ed) North Jr, 74, passed away peacefully at dawn, 07 July 2010, at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma. He was born on Aug 24, 1935, to Edward and Cathleen North (McLoughlin) in Camden, N.J, and attended Camden Catholic High School. In 1953, Edward enlisted in the US Air Force, where he served honorably until his retirement in 1976, at the rank of MSGT (E7). His assignments included tours of duty in Saudi Arabia, Germany, Greece, and the Republic of Vietnam wherein he was the recient of a Purple Heart. He was married on 25 May, 1966 to his loving wife, Ellie (Himmelein) in Frankfurt, W. Germany. Upon his retirement from the Air Force, Ed went to work for the US Forest Service in Skamania County, Washington, until moving to Yelm in1984. He graduated from Saint Martins College in Lacey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. He is survived by brothers, Charles and Bob, his wife, daughters Connie, Patricia and Linda, sons Edward and Ernst , 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.You may leave memories of Ed and condolences for the family by clicking on "View Guestbook" below.
