Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Edward "Eddie" F. Rossa
January 5th, 1942 - May 21st, 2010
Edward Francis Rossa, Jr. 1/5/1942-5/21/2010 Eddie was a lifetime resident of Yelm, WA. He attended Yelm High School, graduated from Clover Park Technical College with an Associates Degree in Landscaping and spent most of his lifetime in the school of hard knocks. Eddie spent 30 years as a Logger/Timber Faller and recently retired from North Thurston School District as a Head Custodian. Eddie was a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather to many, a loyal brother, and a faithful friend to everyone. He opened his heart and his door to anyone in need at any hour of the day. Life was precious and he loved taking Sunday drives (any day of the week) marveling at the beauty and picking flowers for the ladies. If you knew Eddie, you became family, whether you were related or not. Family was everything and he took great pride (and bragging rights) in everyone’s accomplishments big or small. Eddie was passionate about fishing, hunting, children, family and friends. His stories were the best and he loved to tell them! He was a genuine living example of the "one who got away" story. There was always one and it kept getting away! Eddie enjoyed John Wayne, Mash, Star Trek, Star Wars, Louis La'Moire, and Doo Whop music. Eddie is survived by his wife, Bonnie Jean (married Eddie 11/3/1969), son's Jackie Wilson, Vincint Rossa, and Eric Rossa, daughter's Wanda Brown and Trudy Johnson, brother's David Lee Zeiler, Allen Zeiler, Joseph Zeiler, and Roger Zeiler, sister's Claudia Braden, Connie Huggins, Barbara Lamphier, Lorna Blake, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Francis Rossa, Sr, Cora and Les Zeiler, his daughter Angela Wilson, and his son Jamie Dean Wilson. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his honor to the UCBO in Yelm, WA. You will be greatly missed by everyone!
