Schaefer, Edward A. 78, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at St. Anthony's Hospital. Born Glendale, NY he came here in 1987 from Babylon, NY. He served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy, was a Long Island Railroad Transit Police Officer, was a member of the Empire State Masons, the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks, USA, and the Loyal Order of Moose. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and Robert Schaefer, as well as his brother Robert Schaefer. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol; children, James A. Lampert, Alan F. Lampert, Scott E. Schaefer, and Robert E. Schaefer; daughter-in-law, Angela M. Schaefer; sister, Veronica Levchuck; grandchildren, Thomas J. Lampert, Christopher E. Lampert, Anthony Lauricella, Jayme Lauricella Carlo, Christopher Lauricella, Andrew Lauricella, Victoria Schaefer, and Scotty Schaefer. A visitation will be held from 12pm until service time at 2pm at Anderson McQueen, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg, FL.
