Edward Waterman
October 18th, 1932 - May 8th, 2016
My Life Story Edward Allyn Waterman 83, of Boise, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home. He was born October 18, 1932 at Black Hawk, Colorado, the son of Clarence and Helen (Butcher) Waterman. In this small town, he developed his love for hunting, fishing and being close to nature. He instilled this trait to his sons, Brady and Kevin. Many fond memories came from those special trips. After high school, he served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict. On his tours of duty, he was able to spend time in Italy where he loved the county, culture and people. He served with the Military Police and was very proud to have been chosen as flight commander when the Air Force Academy first opened. In 1959, he married Patricia Thompson and after living at the Academy and Lakewood, they returned to Boise. He worked for Thompson's Inc. and St. Luke's Hospital. He was an accomplished craftsman and did many remodeling projects and made beautiful pieces of furniture for home and family members. Ed was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, barbecuing and gardening. He dearly loved his dogs, especially Sweet Pea. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlotte Bolke; brothers-in-law: Ed Kraich and Tom Chilikas, and his much loved in-laws: Clarence and Eleanor Thompson. Ed is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons: Brady (Penny) Waterman, and Kevin (Connie) Waterman and their daughter, Makayla; sisters: Ann (Bill) Reffel and Jan Kraich and brother-in-law, Dwaine Bolke, the Thompson sisters: Colleen Chilikas, Carol (Bob) Helmick and Sue (Jerry) Cobley and many nieces and nephews. In celebration of Ed's life a private service, with military honors, will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery with Amelia McCown officiating. We Entrusted Edward Waterman's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
