Edwin Harold Freibott

Freibott, Edwin H. Jr., ?Big Daddy?, 65, of Treasure Island, FL, died Friday, June 29th, 2007 at home under Hospice care. He was born in East Orange, NJ to Edwin H., Sr. and Daisy Freibott and he lived in Roseland before retiring to Treasure Island in 1994. He graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1960 and he worked for Anderson and Vreeland in Fairfield until completing police training. He retired from the Borough of Roseland Police Department as a Sergeant after 28 years of service. He was a member of PBA #81 and was a member and former President of the Roseland PBA #293 before becoming a member of the Roseland FOP Superior Lodge #184. He was also a member of BPOE Lodge #1822 in Livingston, NJ. He was a member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Gulfport, FL and Seminole Community Bowling League in Seminole, FL. He was an avid sports fan, and especially liked the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, and NASCAR. He was active with the Roseland Little League and played softball with the OTR team in Roseland. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marianne Butterworth Freibott of Treasure Island; 1 son, Mark Freibott and his wife Nancy; 1 daughter, Kimberly Dardis and her husband Robert; 2 granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth Freibott and Casey Jean Dardis all of St. Petersburg, FL; his sister-in-law Joan O?Leary and her family, and many dear friends.
