Edwin A. Lopez, Jr., 46 of Houston, Texas, formerly of Land O’Lakes, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Houston. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and worked as a Mortgage-Acquisitions Specialist for J.P. Morgan Chase for over 20 years. Ed was Catholic in faith, graduated from the School of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, loved to draw and was a wrestling coach. He was passionate about everything he did. Edwin is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Lopez; 2 sons, Grayson and Elias; his parents, Edwin Lopez, Sr. and Juanita Lopez; his sister and brother-in-law, Samantha and Christopher Meshula; brother and sister-in-law, Nicholas and Yuri Lopez; 3 step-children, Christine, Jeremy and Isabella. Also surviving is his granddaughter, Kensey and several nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 19th from 5-8 pm at Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd. Land O’Lakes, Florida 34639 with a service to be held at 7 pm. Graveside services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens on Saturday at 11 am.
