Eileen Joan Ayotte
September 8th, 1935 - March 24th, 2004
"Largo, FL- Eileen J. (Carpentier) Ayotte, 68, of Seminole Blvd., died March 24, 2004 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. Born September 8, 1935 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Antoinette (Couture) Carpentier. Eileen lived in Chicopee with her family, maintaining a summer home in Wilbraham until moving there permanently in 1990. After her husband’s death in 2000, Eileen moved to Largo, FL and had a summer place in Carver, MA. She worked as a pension and trust analyst at Mass Mutual for many years before her retirement in 1995. Eileen was a communicant of St. Cecilia’s Church in Wilbraham. She was very active in the residential activities and social functions in her Florida community and also enjoyed puttering in her garden at the lake in Wilbraham. Eileen was predeceased by her husband Richard J. Ayotte in 2000. She is survived by her five children, Kenneth R. of Tewksbury, MA, Judith A. Bertone of Belchertown, MA, Jacqueline M. Kumor of Sturbridge, MA, Diane M. Farnham of Russell, MA and Jeffrey A. of Gardner, MA. She also leaves a sister Gertrude Gaudreau of Manchester, CT, brother Roland Carpentier of Largo, FL and 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home, 10 Maple St., (Route 202), followed by a mass at St. Cecilia’s Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Rose DeLima Cemetery in Chicopee. Calling hours are Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, Western MA Division, 31, Capital Dr., W.Springfield, MA 01089. "
