Eileen Patricia Mason

Eileen P. Mason, 94 of Land O’Lakes, passed away at home peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She was born in Lynn, Massachusetts and moved to Florida in 1997. She was a retired buyer for GTE Spacenet International and was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church where she was a member of the Red Hats and the Resurrection Choir, was the founder of Mary’s Hands and a charter member of the Columbiettes. She was an active parishioner for more than 20 years and volunteered for many other events and activities. Eileen was an avid New England sports fan and was never happier than when her beloved Red Sox finally won the World Series in 2004. Eileen was also a former Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troop Leader and Pop Warner football cheerleading coach. She played the piano and the organ, was a skilled seamstress, enjoyed knitting and crocheting. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her large and growing family as well as her many church friends. Eileen is survived by her sons, Ted Martin and Kevin Maslowski; daughters, Kathleen Benjamin, Maureen Whitlock and Colleen Balling; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph A. Mason as well as 4 brothers, 1 sister and 1 grandchild. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 22 from 9 o’clock am until 9:45 am at Loyless Funeral Home 6310 Land O’Lakes Blvd. Land O’Lakes, Florida 34639 with a Funeral Mass to be offered at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church 2348 Collier Parkway Land O’Lakes, Florida 34639. Burial will be at 1:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
