“Mom” - “Grandma” - “GG” - “Wife” passed away on March 5, 2019. Eileen was born April 29, 1928, in Minot, North Dakota, to Cecelia and Leo Clouse. She was raised as an only child, being predeceased by two infant siblings, Daniel and Cleo. She married Gene T. Putscher on October 16, 1948 in Olympia, Washington. They celebrated 69 years together before Gene’s passing on November 6, 2017. Eileen was mother to nine children, Mike, Cecile (Jerry) Henslin, Bill (Kirby), Mary (Chuck) Papiez, Tim, Angie (Bill) Hermes, Kim (Bill) Sampson, Larry, Jeff (Kelly). She lost her son, Tim, on July 22, 1962, and son Bill on October 28, 2005. She was grandma to 15, Brandon, Jared, Shelley, MacKenzie, Kyle, Lindsey, Chelsea, Amber, Steve, Doug, Nate, Joe, Nikki, Jessica and Jordan; and great grandma to 14, Tanner, Colby, Braeden, Easton, Tyler, Sabrina, Kaylee, Bennett, Campbell, Cameron, Brynn, Roland, Ellinor and Baker. Those are the stats, now the facts… “Mom” always did for us all. She and dad moved from South Dakota to Olympia with five of us kids under the age of six. Never a complaint. She cared for us through the night while we suffered with German measles, mumps, chickenpox and all the rest. Never a complaint. She somehow provided meals for us all each summer on our family vacations. It’s not sure how she did that out of a 12-foot trailer. Never a complaint. Most weekends we spent as a family, clamming, fishing, getting oysters. There were all the summers in Montana - huge memories. Mom canned hundreds of jars of corn, beans, cherries, peaches and more every summer. Somehow even after all the “help” we provided, she still was able to pass along her love of a good garden and beautiful flowers. Her energy to give to her family was never ending. We all remember the huge meal every Christmas and Thanksgiving. They were the best. We all love you “Mom,” “Grandma,” “GG.” You worked hard. It’s okay now for you to rest. We love you. --Your Family
