Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel-Ontario
Eileen Marie Sutton
October 13th, 1944 - July 16th, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen Sutton on July 16, 2024. Eileen was born to Mervyn and Genevieve (Kathriner) Lemos in Petaluma, California on October 13, 1944.
In 1975, Eileen moved with her sons, Jefferey and James Sutton, to be with her extended family in Ontario, Oregon. She was a devoted member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, where she taught Sunday School in earlier years.
Eileen took pleasure in tinkering in her garden, beautifying her surroundings with pinwheels and plants. A passionate lover of animals, both wild and tam, she fed the birds and the squirrels in her yard and took innumerable dogs and cats into her care and home.
Eileen also gave to her community through education, becoming a teacher's aide for Treasure Valley College in January 1990, a position that was more than a job as she delighted in helping students build their skill and confidence.
Eileen is preceded in death by her father and mother, Mervyn and Genevieve Lemos.
Eileen is survived by her sons, Jefferey Sutton and James Sutton: her grandsons, Andrew Sutton and Cody Sutton: and her siblings, Barbara Lemos von Husen (Fred), Edward Lemos (Glenda), Bruce Lemos (Linda), Marie Lemos Uhlman.
The funeral service will be private. In lieu of flower, the afamily asks that you make a donation in Eileen's name to St. Jude's Childre's Hospital (www.stjude.com) or to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org.
