Eladio Francisco Yanez

Eladio Yanez, 87, of Greeley, CO passed away July 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1927 in Donna, TX to Lorenzo and Emilia (Tristan) Yanez. Eladio grew up in Donna and attended school there. On February 15, 1965, in Phoenix, AZ, he married Senobia Soliz. Eladio worked for the city of Evans water and sewer department. He loved watching westerns, working on cars and was a family man. He attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include his children, Jennie Yanes of Greeley, Steve (Sandra) Yanes of Greeley, Amos Yanes of Eaton, CO, Joe (Lucy) Yanes of Greeley, Tony (Linda) Yanes of Eaton, Jesse (Francis) Yanes of New Mexico, Emilia Tapia of Platteville, CO, Rita Soto of Denver, CO; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter, Francis; and sons, Ricky and Ricardo. Visitation will be held from 10-10:30 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial immediately following on Monday, July, 21, 2014, all at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1311 3rd Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
