Elaine A. Carrigan

Mrs. Elaine A. Carrigan, age 78 of Gloversville, NY; died Sunday evening, June 8, 2008 at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville. She was born December 5, 1929 in Warren, RI; the daughter of the late Alice Boeniger. She graduated from Warren High School in 1948. A former resident of Providence, RI; she was an Insurance Underwriter, employed by Wheelock Insurance Agency of Warwick, RI for many years. She also performed volunteer work for the Woonsocket Housing Authority. Elaine has resided in Gloversville since 2004, where she was a member of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church. Survivors include two children: Renee A. Clarke Thomas of Gloversville, NY and Joseph A. Aguire Jr. Ann-Marie of Warwick, RI; a sister: Doris Boucher of Warren, RI; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Wilfred Boucher. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 to 11:00 am Friday, June 13th at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, where a Prayer Service will follow at 11:00am. Cremation will follow at Parkview Crematorium, Schenectady. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nathan Littauer Hospital, 99 E. State Street, Gloversville, NY 12078.
