Eleni Hope Papadopoulos-Bergquist

It is with immense sadness that the family of Eleni Hope Papadopoulos-Bergquist announce her sudden passing on December 14, 2018 at the age of 54. Eleni lived most of her life in Loveland, CO and graduated from Thompson Valley High School. She loved Colorado and moved to Basalt in 2016 to be immersed in the beauty of the mountains around her. She was extremely bright and had a great passion for learning. She received a degree in nursing from Front Range as well as a degree in business from the University of Phoenix. She worked as an oncology nurse for many years at Poudre Valley Hospital, as a hairdresser in Loveland and most recently worked as an Operations Manager for Mountain Family Health in Basalt. Her daughters Lizzie and Nicole were the highlight of her life. Eleni loved all animals and had many beloved four legged friends. She had a strong Greek heritage and loved to cook her favorite traditional dishes for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed and loved forever by those who knew her.  Eleni is survived by daughters Lizzie and Nicole Bergquist; sister Deanna Berlin; brothers Billy Papadopoulos, James Randorff and Jim Kealy; father Steve Papadopoulos and step-mother Carole Papadopoulos; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Eleni is preceded in death by son Michael Bergquist and mother Maria Photoglou-Randorff. A Celebration of Life will be held at Viegut Funeral Home Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:30am with a reception following at the Viegut Reception Center.
