Eli Kekoa Ellis, age 11 months, of New Bern passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2020 at Holmes Regional Medical Center, Melbourne Florida, following a brief illness. This gentle spirit has gone too soon. Sweet Eli left us in 2020, a much-maligned year, but for our families – and for everyone he touched; for everyone who looked into those big eyes; for everyone who saw that smile – it will forever be remembered, with gratitude, as the time that Eli was with us. He is survived by his parents, Nathan Ellis and Alyssa Manthei; and brother and sister, Ricky Lee and Ava Lee; all of New Bern. Grandparents, Carol Ellis of New Bern, Edward and Veronica Ellis, Melbourne, Florida; Richard and Karin Manthei of Gig Harbor, Washington; Joyal Grace of Rock Hill, S.C. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9 at Latitude Church, 1732 Racetrack Road, New Bern. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to https://gofund.me/2a1bba4e
