Elias Joel Safran

Elias Joel Safran, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away on March 25, 2024. He was born July 9, 1939 in Detroit, MI, son of the late David Safran and Elizabeth Safran. He began his career in management and production in the printing industry. Later changing careers, he spent 35 years providing a very unique form of physical therapy that he described as a combination of Bodywork and Osteopathic Manual Medicine. An adventurous soul, he lived and worked in many places around North America, most notably: Labadie, Haiti; St. Petersburg, Florida; Toronto, Ontario; and finally Charlotte, North Carolina. He is survived by his two daughters, a brother and sister, many nieces and nephews, and many friends and patients, whom he considered his second family. A service by the graveside will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1801 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC with Rabbi Michael Wolk officiating.
