He is survived by his one true love and wife, Kamea van der Linden, his mother and stepfather Vanessa and Curt Calhoun, sister Victoria, and stepbrothers, C.J. (Mel) Calhoun and Alex (Madison) Calhoun. He is also survived by his grandparents Buddy and Sherry Sanders, his aunt Annie (Travis) Williams, uncle Justin (Erica) Sanders, and uncle Brandon (Jade) Sanders, and many cousins. He was loved dearly by his friends as well. As a youth, Elijah attended Seaman School District. He enjoyed playing the drums in the Junior High Drum Line. He graduated from American Schools and went on to attend Washburn Technical Institute with a focus on Advanced Systems Technology. After completing his schooling, Elijah worked with CWC Electric before moving to Puerto Rico to assist with the Disaster Relief Committee (DRC) of Jehovah's Witnesses. Later, he worked as a Field Service Software Controls Engineer at Blueprint Automation in Longmont, Colorado. Elijah loved being in nature. He loved to hike, surf, ride bikes, kayak, and paddle board. He enjoyed the Rocky Mountains and Emerald Lake. He had a talent for capturing stunning photos of his travels. Elijah was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in June 2008 and some of his greatest joys in life came from serving as a regular pioneer with the Topeka, Kansas Kenwood congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses as well as his work with the DRC. He was overjoyed to marry Kamea Webster on May 2, 2020. Elijah was a burning star. He had so much life and humor in his bones. He was full of misadventures and a witty line to make light of any situation. He lived only 26 years but had a heart many lifetimes deep. He was dearly loved by his close friends and family along with a worldwide brotherhood eager to reunite with him in a world free of what now plagues the human heart.
