Elinor Mae Inman

March 13th, 1927 - January 21st, 2018

Elinor Mae Herzig went home to be with her Lord Jesus on 1/21/18. Born March 13, 1927 in Santa Ana, California to Norman and Blanche Herzig. Elinor attended grade school and high school in Santa Ana. She received Jesus as her Savior during her growing up years attending Spurgeon Methodist Church. She went on to San Jose State University earning a degree in Education High School Business and took her first teaching job at Chaffee high school in Ontario, California. While at San Jose State she met and married Stuart Inman who she was married to for 58 years. They eventually settled in San Jose where they raised five children. She was an amazing mother and wife who always put others first. A new job for Stuart with the Portland Trailblazers moved them to Lake Oswego, Oregon in 1969. Elinor faithfully served at Mountain Park Church as a Sunday School teacher, served in the nursery, and in any capacity where there was need. She was very active in Bible Study Fellowship where she eventually became a leader. Her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren gave her great enjoyment and she is deeply loved by all. Elinor was an avid tennis player, part of a biking group, and enjoyed water aerobics. Elinor was preceded in death by her husband Stuart Inman, and brother Wayne Herzig. She is survived by sister Norma Darley (San Diego), 5 children: Nanci Miller, Sandy Rasmussen, Janice Johnson, Carol Reid, and David Inman. She has 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her! In lieu of flowers please make donations to Luis Palau Association.
