Elisa Yates

Mrs. Elisa Yates (née JoAnn Britton Desimone) died unexpectedly at home on December 5th, 2014 in Clay, NY at the age of 59. Elisa is survived by her mother, Ann Desimone of Clay, NY; her son, Marc Russack of Florida; her brother, James Desimone of Minoa, NY; her brother, Louis Desimone of Fenner, NY; and many nieces and nephews who love her very much. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Bud" Yates of LaPorte, TX; her father, Louis Desimone of East Syracuse, NY; her sister, Judy Desimone of Syracuse, NY; her sister, Theresa Desimone of Liverpool, NY; and her brother, Thomas Meck of Baldwinsville, NY. Elisa was born on June 27th in Neptune, NJ and grew up in Newport News, VA. She moved to New York City and started Canal Jean Co. She was accomplished businesswomen and used her creative talent to make her businesses successful. She was a beautiful individual who loved art and who was passionate about her gardens.
