Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel

As you journey along West Mountain Street in Kernersville, the stately presence of Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Service captures the eye, a facility marked by its elegance and rich history. Originally a modest two-room educational building for the town's children, this structure took on a new life as a funeral home in 1930, and since then, it has been a pillar of dignity and service in the community.

Libby was my mail carrier since I moved downtown. When she transfered routes I was at a loss. We managed to reconnect briefly during her illness. I enjoyed waiting for her delivery on days I was around. She always made me laugh and we had great fun teasing each other. A brief but fulfilling relationship between virtual strangers. Funny how just one person can make such an impact. I’m so sorry she is gone.

I have known Libby for years. She and Harvey Jr. rode my school bus. We also spent many days on the Little League field back in the day. I’ll be out of town and regret not being able to speak to all of you, but please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Libby’s smile and laugh were contagious to all. I will always cherish my memories of summers spent with Libby, doing all sorts of fun activities that cousins enjoy on summer break. I will miss her.
