Elizabeth C. Dopp

Elizabeth Catherine Dopp, 84, of Pulaski St., Amsterdam passed away Thursday morning June 26, 2008 with her family at her side. Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 11, 1923 a daughter of August and Alice Jane Tweed Zerbst. She was a life long Amsterdam resident and attended local schools. Mrs. Dopp was a homemaker all of her life. She attended Sacred Heart Church in Tribes Hill and St. Stanislaus Church in Amsterdam. She married Joseph Dopp Sr. who passed away in 1995. Mrs. Dopp's family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren where her life and she took very good care of everyone. Francis Bazan of Amsterdam, NY, Patricia Mullarkey and husband Joseph Jr. of Amsterdam, NY, Linda Trainor of Wells, NY, Janet Cross of Amsterdam, NY. Joseph W. Dopp Jr. of Amsterdam, NY. Step-daughter, Deborah Mullarkey of Amsterdam, NY. Grandchildren, Christopher Stride and wife Christina of Ocala, Florida, Jonathan Hutchison of Greenfield, NY, Shannon Kissinger and husband Larry of Galway, NY, Jamie Hayes and husband John of Broadalbin, NY, Matthew McDonald of Amsterdam, Joseph Trainor of Wells, NY, Marie Cross of Buffalo, NY, Kristie Lynn Dopp of Amsterdam, NY, Mackenzie Dopp of Amsterdam, NY, Cassidy Dopp of Amsterdam, NY, Matthew Mullarkey and wife Rebecca of Mayfield, NY and Joseph Mullarkey III of Broadalbin, NY. One sister, Alice Zerbst of Ballston Spa, NY. She also was loved by her several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Frederick Zerbst. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 28, 2008 at 9:00A.M. at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Cornell St., Amsterdam with Father David Mickiewicz as celebrant. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Tribes Hill, NY. There are no calling hours.
