March 21st, 1934 - July 1st, 2016
Elizabeth (Betty) D. Gibson, 82 of Merritt Island, passed away Friday July 1 2016, born in Philadelphia, PA on March 21, 1934. She married her husband Lewis J. Gibson on May 17, 1952 and moved to Florida in 1959. Betty was a champion women's bowler in the 1960's and an accountant for several businesses during her lifetime. As a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, she ran Bingo for several years. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, brothers John and Patrick Gibson, her daughter Linda Boswell and a son in law Chad Becks. Betty is survived by her brother Frank Gibson, Sisters Maralyn Barney and Kathy Sporer. Four children; Elizabeth Harrington, Marianne McCurley, Lewis Gibson, and Christopher Gibson. Daughter in lae, Stephanie Gibson. Son in law Rick Boswell; Grandchildren: Kenny Boswell, John McCurley, Melissa McCurley-Angel, Patricia Staines, Jennifer Pearson, Elizabeth Harrington, Harland Harrington, Andrew Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Scott Gibson, and Amelia Gibson. Great Grandchildren: Victoria Harrington, Mason Staines, Maddison Angel, Kelsie Young, Jerri Boswell, Richard Boswell and Juliana Pearson. A memorial service will be held at Beckman Williamson Funeral Home Cocoa Beach, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 6:00 P.M. Please sign the guestbook below.
