"Belchertown - Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Zinkevicz) Harper, 70, of Jabish St., died at Baystate Medical Center on December 27, 2009. She was born December 8, 1939 in Montague, MA, daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Engelhart) Zinkevicz. Elizabeth worked in direct care at Monson Developmental Center until she retired in 2001 and formerly at the Belchertown State School. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church and a avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. In her leisure, she enjoyed puzzles, knitting, reading and walking. She was predeceased by her husband Clifford Harper. She is survived by three children Wendy Cook and her husband Robert of Belchertown, Darlene Harper of Chicopee and Randall Harper and his wife Roxanna of Ware. She will also be missed by two brothers Charles Zink of Easthampton, Robert Zinkevicz of NH, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a sister -in -law Barbara Lyons of Ware. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 am to follow to a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis Church. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Ware. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 30, 2009 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association. "
