Elizabeth Clark Harris ?Lib? Mrs. Harris, 92, formerly of Charlotte, NC died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at Davis Regional Hospital in Statesville, NC. She was born May 18, 1918, in Charlotte, NC daughter of the late Charles and Ellen Clark. In addition to her parents Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer and her daughter, Linda Alexander. Lib is survived by her son, Tim Harris and wife, Methial of Troutman, NC; five grandsons, Randy Early and wife, Renee and Darren all of Marshville, NC, Steven Early and wife, Deanna of Oakboro, NC, Brett Harris and wife, Ruth of Charlotte, NC and Kevin Harris and wife, Ali of Harrisburg, NC. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren and her brother, Jim Clark of Charlotte, NC. The family would like to thank everyone at Statesville Place in Statesville, NC for all they did for Lib while she was there, and in particular, the staff at Clare Bridge Special Care Unit. A special thanks to the Staff at Davis Regional Hospital for the compassionate, tender care you showed Lib during her last days. A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 13, 2011, from the graveside in Forest Lawn West Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Clare Bridge Alzheimer?s Unit, 2814 Peachtree Rd., Statesville, NC 28625.
