Elizabeth Ann Howe
July 17th, 1913 - March 1st, 2005
"Elizabeth A. ( Jackson ) Howe, 91, formerly of South Belchertown, passed on to Glory March 1, 2005 in Texas . Born in N. Ireland, Mrs. Howe came to this country at the age of 16 and lived in the Palmer and Belchertown area for 48 years before moving to Del Rio 27 years ago. She worked for the former Diamond National Corp. for 31 years before retiring. After retiring, she became beloved babysitter for more than 250 children in her home in Del Rio. She was predeceased by her husband Herbert in 1969 and a son Kenneth in February 005. She will be deeply missed by her son Raymond F. and wife Dee of Warren and Ruskin , FL , her daughter Elizabeth (Betty) Clark and husband Virgel with whom she lived, her sisters Georgina McKerr of Palmer Ma., Lucinda Colgan of N. Ireland and brother Johnny Jackson of N. Ireland, along with her 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 7 at 10:00 a.m. in the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home followed by burial in Four Corners Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. "
