Elizabeth "Betty" Jane Knapp

Elizabeth Jane Knapp, age 84, of Gloversville, died peacefully Thursday, April 12, 2018 at her home. She was born March 29, 1934 in Mayfield, the daughter of the late Owen and Madeline Fevola Knapp. She was a graduate of Gloversville High School, FMCC and HVCC. She served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1954. She was employed by Coleco Industries of Gloversville for several years, followed by Parsons Child and Family Center of Albany and Fulton Friendship House, Gloversville. Betty is survived by two sons, Victor J. Masala (Deborah) of Hadley, Stephen J. Masala (Michele) of PA; a sister, Lina DeLilli; five grandchildren, Nicholas Deronda, James Deronda, Ashley Masala, Barbara Valachovic and Matthew Masala; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Rose Kobuskie. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, April 17 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont St, Gloversville, where a Prayer Service will follow at 12:00 with the Rev. Donald Czelusniak officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
