Obituary Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth Mowen (95), a long time resident of Woodland Park, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2022 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Betty was born on December 2,1926 in Yonkers, NY to William and Frances Kennedy. Betty was a nurse, sailor, biker, chef, hiker, traveler, baker, Senior Olympic swimmer, dancer, camper, and most importantly Mom, Grandma, Great Grandma and Aunt Betty. Betty was mother to four children: Janet Mowen, Elizabeth "Betsy" Blout, Kathleen Colligan and Joseph M. Mowen Jr. (Shanon). She was grandmother to seven: Kate Macumber (David), Scott Blout (Lindsay), Randy Mowen, Matthew Colligan, Emma Colligan and Chase Mowen. She was great grandmother to Nolan, Blake, Connor, Finley and Juniper. She was aunt to numerous nieces and nephews across the country. Betty was preceded in death by first husband - Francis B. Wingert Jr., second husband - Joseph M. Mowen Sr., grandson - Jason Blout, son-in-law Curtis Colligan, and her two brothers - Robert and William Kennedy. Betty will be joining Joseph Mowen Sr. at Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 8, 2022 at 11AM Services Graveside Service Monday August 8, 2022 11:00 AM Fort Logan National Cemetery
