Elizabeth (Beth) Marie O’Connell
December 27, 1963 - February 4, 2025
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Beth) Marie O'Connell, who left us peacefully on February 4, 2025, at the age of 61. Beth was born on December 27, 1963, in Carmel, Indiana, where she grew up surrounded by love and warmth. After spending her early adult years in Indianapolis, Indiana, Beth moved to North Ft. Myers, Florida, to be closer to her parents after their retirement. Her love and loyalty to her family was truly extraordinary.
Beth’s greatest gift in life was her ability to make others feel loved and valued. She had a heart of gold and a natural talent for connecting with people from all walks of life. This warmth made her an ideal fit for a lifetime career in the service and hospitality industry, where she spent much of her life, initiating countless connections with her kindness and compassion. Beth never met a stranger. Her legacy lives on in the many friendships she cultivated and the deep love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Beth’s passion for life was evident in the things she loved: cheering for her beloved Colts, watching sunsets at the beach, and enjoying music of all genres. She was always a ray of sunshine to everyone around her, even with her daily inspirational messages on her social media platforms encouraging everyone to begin the day with faith, love, kindness and hope.
Beth was preceded in death by her father, Ronald O’Connell; her sister, Terri O’Connell; and her brother, Timothy O’Connell. She is survived by her mother, Agnes Gallagher O'Connell; siblings, Laura O’Connell Baciu, Thomas (Lorna) O’Connell, Jeffrey O’Connell, and Kelly O’Connell; and a large, loving family of nieces and nephews: Nicholas (Mia) Baciu, Meghan Baciu, Courtney O’Connell, Chris Waring, Daniel (Robin) Senecal, Caitlin (Kevin) Jones, Mallory (Ray) Mack, Leah (Steve) Williams, Luke (Stephanie) Bush, Tyler (Samantha) Francis, Ashley (Tyler) Boyd, Colin McGrath, and Alyssa McGrath. She was adored by her 17 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom knew her affectionately as Aunt Bebbie. Beth’s family and friends were everything to her, and her impact on all their lives will never be forgotten.
