February 6th, 1948 - February 27th, 2021
Elizabeth “Bettie” Anne Purdy, 73, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of her children on Saturday, February 27th, 2021. Bettie was predeceased by her parents, James and Dorothy, and many, many beloved dogs. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Roz) Purdy, her son, Christian (Kathleen) Fletcher, and her daughter, Erin (Steve) Fletcher. All of the good in her is returned to the world through her three grandchildren: Owen, Delaney and Sloane. Bettie loved animals, rescuing dogs, horseback riding, gardening, "playing ball", and had a real knack for Jeopardy!, crossword puzzles and a few choice words. Her proudest life accomplishment was the family she built; bloodline or not, friend or neighbor, she loved and protected all who were close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Bettie’s unwavering love of dogs to: americanbulldogrescue.org Private arrangements are under the direction of McGuinness Funeral Home in Woodbury, NJ.
