Ellen C. Jones

Ellen C. Jones, 95, of Amsterdam, passed away on Sunday June 27, 2021 at the Fulton Center in Gloversville, NY , following a brief illness. Born in Paterson NJ on December 22, 1925 a daughter of the late William J. and Anna G. Corcilius Morrison. She moved to the Schenectady area from New Jersey as a child and has resided there many years. Ellen was employed for many years as a Secretary at the Watervliet Arsenal retiring in 1973. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Schenectady, NY. Ellen married N. George Jones on May 2. 1970. He passed away on May 8, 1999. She is survived by her great-niece, Patricia A. Weakley of Delanson, NY, Caregiver, Lisa (Matthew) Owen of Gloversville, NY. Great-great nephew, Dennis Weakley Jr. of Albany. NY. Cousin, Mary (Paul) Vetreno of CT. She was also predeceased by a sister Anna Mae Morrison. Funeral services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
