Elliot E. "Stud" Heit, 87, of Largo, passed peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012. Elliot was a World War II Army Air Corps pilot, graduate of West Point in 1950, and leader in the travel industry. He was also an exceptional father, husband and human being. Elliot lived his life with honor dignity, humor and kindness. He was a rare individual and will be missed by many, as his grace touched the lives of so many. Elliot is survived by his wife Carol; daughters, Robin, Karen, and Susan; and his son, Robert; as well as an extensive family. Services will be held at 11 am on Thursday, Feb. 16th, 2012 at the David C. Gross Funeral Home, 830 N. Belcher Road, Clearwater. David C.
