Elmer C. Gaul, age 90, of Deptford, NJ passed away peacefully on October 28, 2018. Legacy A loving and funny man, Elmer dedicated his life to his family. He loved to be the center of attention, was a wonderful story and joke teller and lived to talk and laugh. Elmer proudly served our country in the US Army, as a Medic during the Korean Conflict. He was a hard working man, at times working 3 jobs to support his family. He began working at the age of 8 in a drugstore, then moved on to a stock boy at S.S.Kresges, until he found his talent as a diesel mechanic. He worked for MACK Trucks for 45years. Elmer was always willing to help those in need. He loved his house and working around the yard, was a terrific bowler, loved to dance, especially the Jitter Bug, and enjoyed time with his family. McGuinness Funeral Homes - Woodbury
We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
