June 17th, 1914 - March 27th, 2002
Parker, Eloise Roof, 87, of St. Petersburg, FL and formerly of Paducah, KY, died Wednesday March 27, 2002. She was born in Paducah where she resided until 1957. Her husband, deceased M. L. Mel Parker, was owner of Evans & Parker Insurance Agency in Paducah. She was active in St. Francis de Sales & St. Thomas More Catholic Churches and various Civic organizations while living in Paducah. In St. Petersburg, she was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she played in the handbell choir and was a member of the Martha and Mary Guild. She was also a member of the Women of Rotary of St. Petersburg. She was the daughter of Linus and Pearl Roof deceased of Paducah; a sister of Lucille Higdon deceased and a brother of Dr. Raymond Roof deceased both of Paducah; and survived by her sister, Sister Velma Roof, ICN of Louisville, KY. Other survivors include two daughters, Marion L. Wilson, Phoenix, AZ and Sara J. L?Eon, St. Petersburg, FL; two sons, J. Kenneth Parker and Joseph L. Parker, both of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be sent to Our Time to Build Fund at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 10895 Hamlin Blvd., Largo, FL.
