Elsa M. Garcia

GARCIA, Elsa M., 88, of Spring Hill, Florida passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015. She was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico and moved to New York City in 1951 and then moved to Georgia where she lived for 18 years. Finally, she moved Florida in 2009. Elsa was a devoted Catholic. She enjoyed watching the Yankees, and playing dominos. She is preceded in death by her two children, Julie and Mike. She is survived by her sons, Jose Madera, Jr. (Valerie), Frank Madera (Marilyn) and Sam Madera (Ronnie); daughters, Elsie Marquez, Ramona Baez (George) and Teresa Morales (Hipolito); brothers, Sergio Garcia (Nellie) and Julio Garcia (Marie); 57 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Loyless Funeral Home, Land O’ Lakes, Florida. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Spring Hill, Florida. Interment will be at Parkway Memorial Gardens, Warner Robins, Georgia.
