Elsa Mekosh, 85, died due to Alzheimer’s dementia complications on April 18, 2023. She was born Aug. 22, 1937, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the daughter of Abbie Pezzner and Fay Rubin/Pezzner.She married Joseph Mekosh on 12/12/2009 and celebrated 14 years of marriage.Elsa was a funny, full-spirited, good listener that lit up the room and will be greatly missed. In addition, she was a member of the Red Hat Society.Surviving in addition to her husband Joseph Mekosh, are her sister Brenda Katz and husband Ronnie Katz,daughters Evelyn Mekosh and wife Rose Holbrook/Mekosh, Lisa Richards and husband Dwayne Richards, son Michael Baymen and grandchildren Carsen, Kyle, Lake, Dalton, and many nieces and nephews. A service of remembrance will be held at 12:15 PM Sunday, April 23 atTemple B'nai Israel, at 1685 S Belcher Rd, Clearwater, FL 33764 Final resting at the Sarasota National Cemetery, at 11 AM Wednesday, April 26 at 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241 In lieu of flowers donate to Temple B'nai Israel orSuncoast Hospice 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater, FL 33760
