Elsie June Wallace Beckham, 77, widow of George “Buck” Beckham, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020. She was born in Carrolton on March 31, 1943 to the late William and Mayme McCallister Wallace. Elsie was a factory worker for GE for 23 years and was a member of Frankfort Capital Church of God. Elsie’s passion was for her family, she was the most generous person you will ever meet, to a fault. She was old fashioned and enjoyed simple things. Elsie loved her family and loved the Lord. She is survived by her daughter, Iva Rice, Frankfort; her step-daughter, Regina Beckham; her son, Robert (Donna) Whortenbury, Frankfort; her sister, Anna Nelson; her brothers, Fred Wallace and Phillip Wallace; her 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and her 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, William Owen Whortenbury and Bobby Leon Whortenbury, 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Private services will be held at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
