Elsie Ganley Evans
August 14th, 1924 - January 27th, 2015
Versailles Elsie Ganley Evans, 90, of Lexington, KY passed from this life on January 27, 2015. Elsie was born and raised in New Albany, IN, the only child of Helen Donahue and Lester Ganley. She was a graduate of New Albany High School and a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Lexington, KY. Besides her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Marvin C. Evans. Survivors include two daughters, Virginia (Gary) Dunn of North Venice Beach, FL and Nancy (Steve) Mandt of Versailles, KY; four grandchildren, Jessica (David) Feeser, JR (Benita Cervantes) Dunn, Jonathan (Jessica) Mandt, and Andrew (Casey) Mandt; four great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Reetz, Gavin Reetz, Charlotte Cervantes Dunn, and Gabriela Feeser. Elsie was cremated and will be interred with Marvin at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN at a family graveside service. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation Center for their love, care, and support over the past 3 years. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Elsie's memory to Bluegrass Care and Rehabilitation Center, in care of Department of Spirituality, 3576 Pimlico Parkway, Lexington, KY 40517. Funeral Information Elsie was cremated and will be interred with Marvin at Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN at a family graveside service.
