Obituary Elsie Hughes, 75, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013. She was born May 3, 1937 in Valeria, Wolfe County, Kentucky to the late Charlie and Carmie Helton Lane. Elsie was a farmer and spent many years working for Square D. Elsie is survived by her daughter, Wilma (Greg) White of Lexington, Kentucky and her son, John (Marsha) Hughes of Danville, Kentucky; sisters, Beulah Creech of Irvine, Kentucky, Janet (Don) Powell of Cynthiana, Kentucky and Eunice (Larry) Townsend of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky; brothers, James Benjamin "J.B." (Lottie) Lane of Lexington, Kentucky and William "Billy" (Mary Alice) Lane of Wolfe County, Kentucky; grandchildren, John Marshall (Drew Laws) Hughes, Amy (Austin) Brummett, Jarrod (Mary Beth) Hughes and Aliya Olivia-J0 White; great grandson, Zyler Henry Hughes; beloved brother-in-law, Jerry Creech of Versailles; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her sisters, Eliza Creech and Imogene Creech Miller; and her brothers, Leonard Lane and Percy Lane. Funeral Information A Gathering of Family and Friends will be 12-2 pm, Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Dr. Derek Coleman and Hospice Chaplain Diane Munoz officiating.
