Elvin Wayne Fuhlendorf
August 27th, 1942 - June 27th, 2024
Elvin Wayne Fuhlendorf was born on August 27, 1942 to Leroy and Naomi (McClanahan) Fuhlendorf in Yuma, Colorado.
He graduated from Yuma High School in 1960 before marrying Lynneta Ireland in September of 1961 and together they had three kids. He is survived by his children Stuart Fuhlendorf (Trish) and their kids, Erich and Hannah, Staci Card (Scott) and their boys, Alex and Evan, and Lisa Rees (Philip) and their girls, Casey, Jennifer and Shelby, his nephew Sam, a metric ton of great grandchildren (eight in total), and large extended family.
Elvin attended North Eastern Junior College and started his career at Home, Light and Power in Greeley before moving to Denver and retiring from the public service company after 35 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arlen and Ervin, and his partner Pattie, with whom he was reunited in 2000 after being life long friends. Elvin and Pattie spent many happy years moving between Washington, Arizona and Colorado where they settled in Greeley, Colorado.
He retired to spend a lifetime pursuing his love for fishing, tinkering, and teaching his grandchildren how to get in to trouble. He passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024.
