Emelio Alvarez

Emelio Alvarez of Commerce City, CO was born on Thursday, April 17, 1958 in Littlefield, Texas. From this moment on, the world was about to know a star. Emelio conquered every music instrument known to man and without perfection, he just played. The sound that came from him playing was music to our ears. We can still hear him. Emelio was preceded in death by both of his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother. He is survived by his wife Estella (Hernandez) Alvarez from Littlefield, Texas. His three daughters, Emily Alvarez (Contreras) Joseph, Sheri Alvarez (Escamilla) Manuel, Anastacia Alvarez (Vigil) Joe, and his son Emilio Alvarez Jr., 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, and countless other family members and friends. Emelio enjoyed playing music, sports, creating nick names for EVERYONE he met, and was proud to point out every street and parking lot him and his son, Emilio Jr. paved while working in asphalt for over 30 years on Colorado roads and highways. The Dallas Cowboys were going to win the Super Bowl every year according to him, as well as the Los Angeles Lakers to win the basketball championship. Emelio worked hard for his family and did EVERYTHING he could to make all of those around him smile and laugh without control. These days will be missed. Although, very short, his life was also VERY FULL. All our memories with him include smiles, laughter, correction and love. We will never be the same…God speed. Look over us. You never stopped.
