July 7th, 1949 - October 20th, 2006
Mr. Emerson D. Waller Jr., 57 of Gloversville, died Friday, October 20, 2006. He was born July 7, 1949 in Little Falls, New York, son of the late Emerson D. and Nellie Pearl Waller Sr. Mr. Waller was educated in St. Johnsville schools and served in the Marine Corps. He was employed at Ferndale Cemetery for a time and also as a janitor at T.A. Truck Stop in Fonda until illness. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Emerson was a devoted husband and family person, always putting others before himself. He had been a member of the St. Johnsville and the Sir William Johnson Volunteer Fire Departments during his life. Survivors include his wife; Sandy Morehouse Waller of Gloversville whom he married December 9, 1972. He is also survived by two brothers; John P. Waller of Texas, and Ethan H. Margaret Waller of Canajoharie, and three sisters: Rose Marie Dickenson of Oklahoma, Bonnie White of Ilion, and Virginia Cerrone of Amsterdam. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A graveside service will be held 11 am Wednesday at Ferndale Cemetery, Johnstown. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1-3 pm at the Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Mt. Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Ave., Gloversville, N.Y. 12078.
