Emilio Ramirez

RAMIREZ, Emilio E., 74, of Tampa, passed away September 23, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in San Diego Del Valle, Cuba on October 16, 1933. Emilio was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a graduate of Delgado Aviation School and was employed by J. Ray McDermott Aviation in New Orleans for 23 years. He was in the U.S. Air Force. He loved the country and his hobby was farming and raising his horses, cattle, goats and many other animals. His greatest love was his family. Preceded in death by his parents, Emilio Ramirez and Antonia Perez and a great-grandson, Gavin Michael Rieder. Survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Cristina; 3-daughters, Maria (Manuel) Diaz, Ana Diaz, Marilin (Ismael) Dillan; 1-son, Ernesto "Ernest" Ramirez; 9-grandchildren, Melissa, Jorge, Anthony, Daniel, Christopher, Amanda, Alex R., Joel and Alex D.; 4-great-grandchildren, Ava, Preston, Nathan and Addison; 4-brothers & 3-sisters, Medardo, Argelio "Yeyo", Zaida, Coralia "Monga", Nieves, Octavio "Tato" and Jesus; and much gratitude to his dedicated niece, Miriam "Chiqui" Adelaida Gonzalez; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
