Mrs. Emily E. Emmer, 92, of Greensboro and formerly of Southern Pines, died Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Wesley Long Hospital. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, January 14th, at Trinity Church, 5200 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, with the Reverend Marc Putnam officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home., 300 W. Wendover Avenue, Greensboro. Mrs. Emmer was born in Maspeth, Long Island, to William and Elizabeth Stephan. She was the wife of the late Stanley Emmer and a life time member of Eastern Star. Mrs. Emmer is survived by her daughter, Elaine Schoeller and husband Rich, of Greensboro; granddaughter, Jennifer Milling, of Fayetteville; sister, Mae Pfmueller and husband Julian, of St. Louis, Missouri.
