Emily Marie Montano, age 76, of Albuquerque, New Mexico has passed away on December 16, 2022 at Lovelace Hospital in Albuquerque. Born on July 2, 1946 in Columbus, New Mexico, Emily worked at the Albuquerque public library for 30 years. Mrs. Montaño was preceded in death by her brother George Chavez, sister Julia Chavez, and son Brian Montano. She is survived by her Brother Lee Chavez (Peggy), sisters Dorthy Serda (Julian), Celesta Chavez, Berta Ryder (Joe), Liz Gurule (Larry), and two sons, Matthew Montano, his spouse Kim, and Andrew Montano of Albuquerque, New Mexico . Grandchildren, Matthew Montano, his wife Vanessa from Aubrey, Texas, and Madizyn Montano from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Emily loved hand making crafts for the holidays. Made the best fudge and breads for the holidays. Always there for others and great person to talk to about anything. As a single mother of three boys , she gave us a fun and memorable childhood. Lots of memories with family get together’s. Thank you for all you love , wisdom, creativity, patience, and guidance you gave us all . Cremation has been taken place. Please share a memory .
