"Belchertown-Emily E. (Brisley) Stephens, 74, of N.Washington St. died September 24 at Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield with her family by her side. Born April 24, 1931 in Leverett, MA, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Emily L. (Brown) Brisely. Emily was raised in N. Adams and has lived in Belchertown since 1986. She was a member of Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam. Mrs. Stephens leaves her husband of 53 years, Norman, along with her children Sandra Rogers of Canton, GA, Brenda Darling with whom she lived in Belchertown and Karl N. of Vancouver, Washington. Emily also is survived by two sisters Mary Tracy and Joyce Sibley both of E.Longmeadow, along with four grandsons, and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main St. in Agawam. Visitation will precede the service from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the church. Beers & Story Belchertown Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made in Emily’s memory to The Salvation Army. "
