Eric Paul Hastings
September 25th, 1978 - September 11th, 2021
Eric Paul Hastings, 42, of Gloversville passed away due to a motor vehicle accident on September 11, 2021. Born in Albany on September 25, 1978 he is the son of the late Ronald L. and Eileen L. (Johnson) Hastings. Survived by his loving son Jacob Hastings of Fonda, a brother Richard (Betsy) Hastings of Gloversville, two sisters Sharon (Joseph) Freeman – Gravelle of Gloversville, and Susan Hastings of Johnstown. Also by his grandfather Robert Peeler of Fonda. Eric is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides his parents Eric is predeceased by his sister Carol Myers. Memorial services will take place on Friday September 17, 2021 at 1 pm at the Jackson & Betz Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY 12072 with Reverend Christopher Hamm presiding. Calling hours will take place before the services from 11 am to 1 pm. A burial will take place at a later date in the family plot of Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda. A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial services on Friday at the Sammonsville Volunteer Fire Department, 1362 NY-67, Johnstown, NY 12095. Masks are required for all services. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Eric can be made to the Montgomery County SPCA, P.O. Box 484, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
