June 21st, 1958 - September 14th, 2014
"Palmer, Eric R. Hermanson, 56, died suddenly on Sunday, September 14. Born in Palmer, June 21, 1958, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Joyce B. (Turner) Hermanson. He grew up in Monson, and has lived in Palmer since 1979. He worked as a gas technician for Waste Management in Chicopee. In his leisure, he enjoyed many outdoor activities with his kids and grandkids, including riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles. He was the "go to guy" to help anyone with their projects, whether big or small. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 35 years, Helen (Wasiuk) Hermanson, along with his 4 children Raymond of Palmer, Michael and his wife Sarah of Palmer, Steven and his wife Stacey of Springfield, and Lisa Hermanson of Palmer. He also leaves his 5 precious grandchildren, Alexia, Kaylee, and Olivia Lambert, and Ayden and Brielle Hermanson. Additionally, his 5 siblings Barbara Greany of Palmer, Margie Darling of Easthampton, Billy Darling of Monson, Dickie Darling of Belmont, VT and Bobby Darling of Bradenton, FL also survive him. Calling hours will be Friday, September 19 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, 1475 N. Main St. followed by a celebration of his life at St. Joe's on Commercial St. in Thorndike. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association"
